About
Nabil is the Managing Partner of UHY United for Auditing, Tax, Advisory and Financial Services. He is an Audit Partner with more than 35 years of experience with Arthur Andersen till the year 2002, then with Ernst and young till the year 2017. Prior to founding UHY United, Nabil was the Transaction Advisory Service Line leader with Ernst and Young Egypt for more than 8 years.
Nabil is:
• Chartered Accountant (Egypt)
• Fellow of the Egyptian Society for Accountants and Auditors.
• Fellow of the Egyptian Society for Taxation.
• One of the 19 auditors authorized to provide audit services to the Real estate Finance companies.
• Authorized to audit Banks, Mutual Funds and Insurance companies.
Experience
• Nabil was the leading partner for the financial due diligence in relation to the acquisition of Repsol oil & gas concessions by Apache.
• Nabil was the partner in-charge of the due diligence performed on the Bank of Alexandria (a government bank ) before it was sold to a private sector bank.
• He led the financial due diligence in relation to the acquisition of an oil & gas concessions in Egypt by a leading Asian government owned company
• As a member of the committee for sale of the public sector shares in private sector banks, Nabil was involved in the valuations of several banks shares offered for sale (Misr Int’l Bank, Egyptian American Bank, Credit Agricole, Egyptian Far East Bank).
• Nabil has provided Business Process Risk Consulting (internal audit) services for various industries in Egypt including banks, insurance, manufacturing, trading and services; and implemented projects funded from EU donors as well as the World Bank.
• Nabil has conducted several Internal Audit Transformations with a vision to evolve mandate from compliance to strategic value added to key stakeholders, and a dual focus on control effectiveness as well as process efficiency
• Nabil is experienced in the validation, planning and implementation of strategic and business plans for domestic and regional corporations and financial institutions.
• Nabil has developed written policies and procedures manuals (including financial cycles, supply chain and human resources) for major organizations in various industries in Egypt and the Middle East.
• Nabil has developed organizational structures, job roles and duties manuals, and delegation of authority matrices for numerous clients operating in various industries in Egypt and the Middle East region and managed the change management aspects.
